　　Dream is beautiful, it is the bottom of my heart the most beautiful expectations, so the dream also become our long-held beliefs. And my dream is to let my country become strong.

　　The various kinds of products in delicate Chinese stores, inns and shops inevitably have the sign of “Made in China”。 Even if some people do not speak English, after viewing plenty of those goods, are capable of identifying this high-frequency phrase.

　　When Mr. Xu mentioned “Made in China” during social science class when explaining concepts, he solely referred to this phrase and wished it could become “Designed by China” in the future in a regretful voice. However, when I heard his words, my heart thumped. It is indeed true that at present, most of the miscellaneous goods are made in China instead of designed by China. For instance, some of my pens have the label of “Designed by Korea Made in China”：“Design by Korea Made in China.

　　I still remember the indignation from my heart last time when I saw the news that a number of multinational companies made use of the low standard of “Made in China” to produce illegitimate products. From that on, I have a dream. I have a dream that one day those pitiable “Made in China” labels can transfer into “Designed by China” or even “China patent technology”。 Though I am neither a professional engineer, nor a sophisticated designer, I am only a student who has no specialized knowledge about invention. Nevertheless, I always have the dream that there will be less “Made in China” and more “Designed by China”。

　　Without actions, determinate can only be remote dreams generated from my mind. I said to myself silently, only when I take actions can the dreams become closer to facts. For instance, I should be more focused when having science class, should take some inventive extracurricular activities, should know more about lifetime stories

　　of renowned inventors should be an active observer, should suggest others to act. Through these ways, the dreams are more likely to become less remote and the pitiful “Made in China” are more likely to diminish.

　　Unconsciously, I think of the abstract word “patriotism”。 Some “patriots” resist the consumption of Japanese products. Some “patriots” damage Japan manufactured cars. Some “patriots” make humiliating GIFs about Japan. Some “patriots” attack countries that do not admit the China’s sovereignty of Diaoyu Island. The examples are endless. At their points of view, these are demonstrations of patriotism. Nonetheless, these actions may be too impulsive. Probably, it is a better way that we can earn respect from foreign nations via making China a more powerful country in terms of economics politics.

　　I do not know. But in my heart, I have a firm belief that other countries can respect China genuinely from the change of “Made in China” to “Designed by China”。

　　Finally,I want to say: We are the hope of our motherland, we should inherit the tradition of excellence, strive to advanced country contributes own strength. And as equals, he certainly didn't have any right to order her out of the seat, or did he? Well, surprisingly, in 1955, lots like Rosa Parks did not have as many rights as whites. Due to racial discrimination, Rosa’s refusal to give up her seat to a white man, led to a call to the police, and she was arrested jailed and

　　convictea violatinsegregatiolaws. But Rosa did not surrender to prejudice, instead she chose to fight discrimination and work alongside thousands of others for her wish to rid the world of racism

　　And now, half a centurlater, we are still fighting for the same wish. Traces of discrimination have gradually disappeared, but prejudice lives on. I too, share the wish of Rosa Parks, but I too, wish that prejudice comes to an end. And my friends, prejudice will come to an end if we all work together as a whole.

　　Let us not judge others by their skin color or appearance：[?'pir?ns], but rather by their content of their characte Let us learn to enjoy different cultures and then we’ll enjoy a world of diversity. 　　If you ask what their dreams are when they were kids. They might give you answers like becoming a scientist, a politician, or a great businessman. However, if you ask them now what their dreams are. They would tell you that they want to buy a house, a car; they want to have a secure job, a moderate income.

　　I got a question: where is their original dream now?

　　Actually, in face of the huge pressure from the reality, they have set aside their dreams.

　　Confronted with the college entrance exams, they spent 12 years in the ocean of papers. At last still not everyone could be admitted to their ideal university.

　　Confronted with the rising of house price, they will have to spend almost their whole life to earn a house.

　　Confronted with the pressure of raising family, they strive on their post day and night. When they go back home, tired with fatigue, they have no energy at all to think more about their original dreams.

　　It takes young people their whole life to fight with the reality. Meanwhile, their original dream fades out as well. Even if they have the passion, it still would be worn down by the pressure from the reality.

　　Living such a fail-fail life, how could one possibly get the real happiness?

　　The dream road and the reality road diverge at the very beginning, and as the two roads extend to the distance, they would become even farther apart from each other.

　　Thus we need to make our choice at the very beginning: to dream, or to struggle with the reality.

　　I would say to young people that, it’s time for us to discard the pressure from the reality and follow our dream. It’s time for is to unburden our load and go to our Walden Ponds. It’s time for us to undertake the career that we have been dreaming of.

　　The housing price is high. So what? We could still choose Dwelling Narrowness.

　　now, my dear friends, let’s do an interesting test together and then you will find the secret by yourself! as we all know, there are 26 alphabets in english, a to z. against them we have the numbers 1% to 26%. if a is equal to 1%, and b to 2%, and so on, until z is equal to 26%, then can you guess what can make our life 100%? that is to say, what can make our life perfect?

　　The Dream Came True I wanna welcome everybody here in this cheer team. Thank you for coming here this morning to stand on my side cheering me on. It’s my dream to have the opportunity to challenge all the foreign athletes to the championship at this great occasion: 20xx Olympic Games. Now, the dream came true. As an athlete of China, I’m here to win the gold medal of orienteering for our motherland. I’m so proud of being one of the best players in the world. But could you believe I had been a lazy girl when I was in Junior High. I’m not kidding! At that time, running was my last favorite. I really don’t know how to describe the first time I was on the track. It was horrible. When I started to run, I was simply out of breath. And while I touched the finishing line, I really didn’t know if I was still alive.

　　It’s so funny, huh? But it’s true, I did. Well, something happened and changed the situation. We won the right of holding the Olympic Games in 20xx. After that, sports became a kind of game in campus. And there are many sports clubs in school. One day someone asked me:“are you gonna try one of those?”First I felt so wired. “Try to get into sports clubs? Are you kidding?” I said. And she goes: “Why not?? It’s not hard at all, and so fascinating!” So I did tried one and I was so lucky to become one of those who did orienteering. That is a fantastic sport! You need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a compass. It’s wasn’t popular in China at first.

　　But when we heard it might become a new event in 20xx, we did practiced hard, and aimed to win the first Champion of orienteering in the world. When we practiced, there were a lot of troubles. You know, sometimes you need to go with your feet, but sometimes you need to go with your heart. In some situations, we faced the difficulties and problems. And we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower. So we can run faster, go higher and be stronger. That is what we say—Olympic spirit. Now the dream came true. I’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports. So do the people from all over the world to HERE at the Olympic Games. It’s the Olympic Games that make us together. We are here for a big day of sport; we are here for a dream of sports. We are here for a spirit of sport that encourages us to face the difficulties of today and tomorrow.

　　look! there is a rainbow! on the first day of my university life, when iwalked into the campus, there was a rainbow bridging over the fountain, i hadn’tseen rainbow for a long time. i was so excited, and leaped high with joy. myponytail danced with my happiness. it was a propitious sign indicated that mylife in university would be colorful, and actually it is!

　　after my entry into university, i found my life so busy. what i should dois not only gaining the scholarship but also being a good monitor and leader ofshanghai university percussion band. i got the 1st and 2nd price of scholarshipin my 2 years of study. i organized charity donations for schoolmates withfinancial difficulty or disease. every week, i give drum lesson to new membersof our percussion band. and there are always a lot of non-business performances,such as entertaining guests, celebrating party, cultural exchange with foreignstudents delegations and their bands. of course, part-time job is indispensablein my vacations. i ask for no payment but aim at getting accustomed to thesociety.

　　sometimes, my friends advise me not to tire myself out with such a tightschedule. i wake up before the rooster crow, and continue working till very latewhen others are enjoying their sweet dreams. every time i come back from therehearsal of percussion band, i have to finish my homework with the help of myown charged light because of the blackout in out dormitory. maybe such kind oflife is something like an ascetic, but we should work hard and try hard in ouryouth, aren’t we?

　　when i represented shanghai university to take part in the pond’s newcentury lady competition held in may, when i show off on the stage, when iemerged as “the girl of vitality”, i made use of every bit of time to compensatethe classes i had missed, i made use of every chance to learn from other girlswith vitality, versatility and intelligence, i made use of this opportunity topresent our university students’ state of mind.

　　there is a little bitterness in my busy life, but at the same time, thereis sweetness. it is colorful. i make fun out of it. i love it. when i snatch alittle leisure i lie on the green grass, reading books, i cripple myself in thewindow-seat in our library---the 2nd largest in shanghai---i absorb knowledgelike a hungry sponge, i wonder along the bank of river, listening to oriels inwillows and get a splendid sunset view of the campus. the sky is drunk with thesunset; i am drunk with the sweetness of my like.

　　My Attitude towards to Marks

　　For our students，marks is above everything. Teachers will judge us from ourmarks. With marks we can be enrolled into junior middle schools. With marks，wecan be enrolled into senior middle schools. With marks we can be enrolled intocollege. With marks we can be enrolled into postgraduate and doctrine studies.Still with marks we can be graded and be allowed to go abroad for furtherstudies. Our parents will be strict with us with the marks. Our society judge usfrom marks. However，sometimes we students compare one another with marksdirectly. We are completely controlled by marks. We like them and we feel sorryfor them. But what attitude towards our marks should we take?

　　Truly，marks functions cannot be underestimated. In terms of test in ourstudy，marks are fair and real. That is the reason why we say "Everyone is equalbefore marks. "

　　However，I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success or failureof students in exams. Sometimes，marks more than ten or less than one or two inour exams comparing with others mean not everything. The success or failure inexams will be influenced by experience on the spot and the examinee’s healthetc. Once in a while one cannot fail in exams. " Success or failure is commonsense for military. " I think everyone is familiar with the famous saying. Don’tyou think such will be the case with our study? In exams，one cannot be "never-defeated general" . Even though one will be very good in everyday study，he cannot succeed in every exam sometimes. We can get proof from the fact thatthe very best one we call "Number One Scholar" in the entrance exams for collegeand ordinary middle school and specialized secondary school over the years isnot eminent above all others nor top student in every study.

　　As a matter of fact，"high marks" and "ability" are not unified. Some timeago，a new phrase " high marks but poor competence" came into being. Once Ihappened to meet such a teacher as this .It is said that the teacher justgraduated from a far-famed key university. But his teaching result is much lessthan that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. Whenlecturing，the teacher only repeated what the text-books says，which was verydull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching wasshort of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we knowa few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. Thereason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from bookswith pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in everyexam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’tyou think it waste training such persons for the country?

　　To sum up from the above，I can say marks are not absolutely authoritativefor some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability andcompetence and if we only seek for the high marks，we will be absolutely wrong.We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should weneglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.
